Do you supply and install plantation shutters in Sydney?
We supply made-to-measure shutters for delivery to Sydney through this self-measure, self-install store. You provide the dimensions and install the shutters. EasyKit and SmartKit also require assembly; EasyShutter arrives assembled. Guides and remote support help you prepare, but an on-site measuring or installation service is not included.
Will shutters give complete privacy and block out all light?
Tilting the louvres changes light and sightlines, but privacy depends on the viewing angle and the lighting inside and outside. Check the view at night with room lights on. Plantation shutters are not blackout blinds; light can enter around panels and through small gaps.
What should I check before fitting shutters in an apartment?
Check your scheme’s by-laws and the proposed fixing location before ordering, particularly where work could affect common property or the building’s exterior. Confirm any required permission with your strata manager or owners corporation. Also check panel opening space, window access and delivery arrangements for the building.
Should I choose PVC or timber for a bathroom?
Our moisture-resistant indoor PVC range is the practical choice for bathrooms and laundries. Keep the room ventilated and follow the care instructions. Timber is better reserved for protected interior spaces away from prolonged damp. Weather-exposed openings need a suitable outdoor product.
Can I choose PVC for some rooms and timber for others?
Yes. Choose each range for the room and the finish you want, checking its dimensions, configuration and care requirements. Melbourne-made PVC and overseas-made timber have different lead times, so speak with us about your delivery plan before scheduling installation across the whole home.
