This Privacy Policy explains how DIY Plantation Shutters collects, uses and protects information when you visit our website, ask for advice or place an order.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

  • Order and contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number, billing or delivery details, order contents and messages you send us.
  • Measurement and project information, such as window measurements, photographs or videos you choose to provide when requesting product or installation advice.
  • Technical and website-use information, such as browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website or campaign, and interactions with product, quote, checkout and contact features.
  • Payment status information provided by our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • answer enquiries and provide measurement, product and installation guidance;
  • prepare, process, manufacture, deliver and support orders;
  • operate, secure and improve the website;
  • understand which content and marketing help customers make informed buying decisions;
  • meet accounting, legal, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution obligations; and
  • send marketing communications only where permitted, with an option to unsubscribe.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website use and which channels lead to enquiries and orders. Google may set analytics cookies such as _ga and process pseudonymous client and session identifiers, page views, product interactions, checkout steps, purchase or refund values, traffic source information, and general browser, device and approximate location information. We use this information in aggregate to improve the website and assess marketing performance.

We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses or card details to GA4. The site also enables email-address redaction and removes the WooCommerce order key value from Analytics URL parameters.

You can block or delete analytics cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to browse, configure products or place an order.

Google processes Analytics data under its own terms and privacy practices. You can read Google’s Privacy Policy and learn more about safeguarding Analytics data.

Payments, delivery and service providers

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe may receive information needed to authorise and manage the payment under Stripe’s Privacy Policy. We may also share the minimum information needed with manufacturers, freight providers, website hosting and support providers, professional advisers, or authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted website connections and access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for orders, customer support, business records, fraud prevention and applicable legal obligations.

Access, correction and privacy requests

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or request deletion where it is lawful and practical for us to do so. To make a request or raise a privacy concern, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version and update date will be published on this page.
