Return Policy
RETURNS, DAMAGED GOODS AND WARRANTIES
These terms apply to custom-made DIY Plantation Shutters orders. Because shutters are made to your measurements and specifications, please check your order details carefully before confirming your order.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
ORDER CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
If you need to cancel or change an order, please contact us at service@diyplantationshutters.com.au within 24 hours of placing the order. If the order has not been sent to manufacturing, we can cancel the order and issue a refund.
Once an order has been sent to manufacturing, changes or cancellations may not be possible because the shutters are custom made. We will assess each request and honour any obligations that apply under Australian law.
DAMAGED GOODS OR TRANSIT ISSUES
If your goods arrive damaged, or appear to have been damaged in transit, please notify us with clear photos within 48 hours of delivery. Include your order number and photos of the packaging, labels, and affected parts.
If the damage is visible before you accept delivery, note it with the carrier where possible and contact us before installing the shutters or disposing of the packaging.
We will assess the issue and help resolve it with the carrier, replacement parts, repair, replacement, or another appropriate process. Please do not install damaged components until we have reviewed the photos.
PRODUCT ISSUES AFTER DELIVERY
All efforts have been taken to ensure that DIY Plantation Shutters are supplied to a high standard. If you believe the goods are not up to the standard you expect, please contact us within 14 days of receipt with photos so we can inspect the issue.
If an issue is confirmed, we will work with you on a repair, replacement, or another remedy appropriate to the issue.
WARRANTY AND USE
Any product warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Warranty coverage does not apply to normal wear and tear, misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised repairs or maintenance, or damage caused after delivery.
Repairs or maintenance should be carried out by a qualified professional where required.
DEPOSITS
If you choose to pay a 50% deposit now and the balance in 6 weeks, the balance must be paid before DIY Plantation Shutters dispatches your order from Melbourne.
Deposits for custom-made orders are generally non-refundable once production has begun, except where a refund or other remedy is required by law.
ORDER CANCELLATION BY US
In certain situations it may be necessary for us to cancel your order. This may be due to a production issue with our manufacturing plant, or other circumstances outside our control. If this occurs, we will notify you by email and refund any money debited at order placement.
SUPPORT ENTRY POINTS
For damaged goods, missing parts, wrong measurement concerns, installation questions, product advice, video/photo advice, complex opening advice, or measurement review requests, use the contact form and choose the matching enquiry type. Include your order number where relevant and upload clear photos for product, delivery or installation issues.
